Help

If you are new to the concept of a Wiki, you might try reading the Introduction first. If you are experienced with Wikis and/or the web, try the Quick Start for Wikipros.

If you just want to read about Nittany Valley, just use the Explore section on the Home page. While you read, if you notice that your favorite band, restaurant or organization doesn't have an entry, come back here — you can add it!

Editing an Entry

In order to edit an entry you must have an account. They are free... we only use them to attribute changes and prevent spam on the site. You can signup for one by clicking Signup in the upper right hand corner. Once in, you can read the Help on Editing entry.

Using Content from NittanyWiki

You can use anything from this entire site anywhere you'd like. If you have a family newsletter or are a news director for a television station, you have full clearance to use anything here as long as you attribute your source. See the copyright entry for details.

If you are citing NittanyWiki in a academic paper, feel free. One thing many people forget when citing a wiki is to include the revision number. You wouldn't cite a magazine without giving the issue number or date, so don't forget to include the revision number. If you hit "Print" (on the site, not in your browser), the citation appears at the bottom of the page in MLA format.

Promoting the Wiki

Get the word out: tell your friends. Wiki promotion is an important task.
