Bellefonte is known for the remarkable historic architecture of the homes and buildings throughout the town's center. Often simply dubbed "Victorian", the buildings are a mixture of Victorian, Gothic Italianate and Greek Revival. Several of the mansions have been converted into bed and breakfasts.
The main street in Bellefont is High Street, and is full of various restaurants, little stores and cafés.
